Big Thompson Watershed Forum
Request for Proposal & Draft Scope of Work for Phase II Big Thompson River Watershed State of the Watershed Water Quality Report The Big Thompson Watershed Forum (the Forum) is requesting a proposal for developing and preparing a State of the Watershed: Water Quality Report from a consultant, research institution, graduate/PhD student or other qualified entity. Phase I, near completion, consists of an organized multi-year database for the Forum’s water quality data. Phase II (the watershed report) will consist of water quality data analysis, data assessment, and preparation of the State of the Watershed report highlighting the findings for key water quality constituents from the Forum’s flowing water monitoring sites. Phase II also includes the preparation and presentation of a one-hour Power Point summary of the report’s findings before an audience at the Forum’s 2011 Annual Meeting. The Forum’s Science and Monitoring Committee will oversee the project. View RFP and SOW below..... THE BIG THOMPSON WATERSHED FORUM’s 11th ANNUAL MEETING "Protecting Our Watershed, Preserving Our Future" The Forum would like to say 'thank you' to its speakers and to everyone who attended this year's annual meeting in Fort Collins. We would also like to give a special thanks to State Representative, Randy Fischer, House District 53 in Fort Collins, who provided opening remarks and legislative insight in protecting Colorado waters. The Forum also presented the inaugural Dave Cole Environmental Scholarship Fund Award to Kelsey McCarty, a watershed science major from Colorado State University. Geological Survey Curry Rosato - City of Boulder Nicole Seltzer - Colorado Foundation for Water Education Big Thompson River Fall Clean-Up The City of Loveland and Big Thompson Watershed Forum held its annual Fall clean-up on Saturday, September 26, 2009. We had a wonderful day of sunshine, fun, educational booths and protecting the Big Thompson River. In addition to enjoying a great day, we also collected approximately 7 cubic yards of waste, or 1,750 pounds of trash.
