The Forum collaborates with the Cities of Loveland, Greeley, Fort Collins, and Fort Morgan; the Towns of Estes Park and Milliken; Larimer County; Northern Water; Tri-Districts; North Front Range Water Quality Planning Association; Thompson School District; and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) on water quality monitoring, assessment, and outreach programs.
The Forum’s major financial funders (City of Fort Collins, City of Greeley, City of Loveland, and Northern Water) serve on the Forum’s Board of Directors. The Thompson School District is also a major contributor, providing ‘in-kind’ services to the Forum, but it does not currently serve on the Board. The City of Fort Morgan, Towns of Estes Park and Milliken, Larimer County, and Tri-Districts/Soldier Canyon Water Treatment Authority are minor financial contributors.
The USGS provides financial and laboratory assistance through ongoing 319 non-point source grant monies and collaborative joint funding agreements. The Forum also receives ‘in-kind’ laboratory funding from the City of Loveland, City of Fort Collins, and Northern Water.
This sustainable approach to monitoring and assessing large and small watersheds reduces sampling costs and provides a significant shared knowledge base for stakeholders. For data requests and more information about the Forum’s water-quality monitoring programs, contact the Forum’s monitoring program manager, Andy Fayram, at afayram@btwatershed.org.
